I'm off to Israel today for 5 days leaving behind my wonderful wife Julie and children Rebekah and James.
Please pray for my family, myself, my two travelling colleagues [the 2 Bob's] and my baby-sitting MIL [Mother-in-law] DORIS [a superb lady] and my father-in-law Donald.
I'll be back [heard that somewhere before?] soon with some more stuff; hopefully to bless you and encourage you to trust the LORD Jesus Christ; His WORD and be comforted by the Holy Spirit.
Be not deceived; Be alert; Encourage one another; live the True Gospel.

The word that is translated into 'violence' in the KJV and other translations of the Bible comes from these two Hebrew words:-
Strongs Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries; number H2555:-
[From H2554]; violence; by implication wrong; by metonymy unjust gain: - cruel (-ty), damage, false, injustice, X oppressor, unrighteous, violence (against, done), violent (dealing), wrong.
Strongs Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries; number H2554:-
A primitive root; to be violent; by implication to maltreat: - make bare, shake off, violate, do violence, take away violently, wrong, imagine wrongfully.
Question: Have you seen it?
For "châmâs" and "châmas" read ......... HAMAS.
The Hebrew word for violence is HAMAS.
Now; let's read a couple of those verses and insert 'hamas' for 'violence':-
Isaiah 60:18 - "Hamas shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise."
Ezekiel 7:11 - "Hamas is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them."
There are so many layers and levels in God's Wonderful prophetic Word ... when the Prince of Peace returns; the real, genuine 'Shalom' of the LORD that passes all understanding will reign. Here we have hope.
All that is going on in Gaza; how Hamas are hurting even their own people to engender more vilification of Israel; what happened when Fatah was booted out; what their charter clearly states about the destruction of Israel; the Egyptian border incident[s]; the hundreds of missiles fired into Sderot; the persecution of Christians for example; all this will not continue forever; the King is coming and Israel will soon recognize Her Messiah. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem [Psalm 122:6] folks.
And let's keeping trying to reach the lost [Jew or Gentile]. They both need Yeshua [Joshua = salvation].

I received a flyer through the door the other day from some Seventh Day Adventists; and it crossed my mind to re-visit three interesting scriptures.
A 'controversial' subject that often arises amongst Christians is the question of whether or not Saturday or Sunday is the Christian Sabbath; which is actually the first day of the week; and do Christians have to keep it???
These 3 scriptures are:-
"Let no man therefore judge [condemn, damn, decree] you in meat [eating, food, meat], or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [day, week] days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
1 Corinthians 16:2
"Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come."
"One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks."
There are many ways to study this subject; from the end of the Creation week in Genesis; the Sabbatical Covenant in Exodus, looking at what the LORD Jesus Christ said about the Law; and what the apostles taught about the Law versus Grace.
The above three verses are by no means exhaustive but they do relate the activities of the early Church. Many times I have stated my belief that the end time church will be the same as the early church [underground, persecuted, poor, alive, powerful and successful]. We can look at their conduct THEN to assist us in our conduct NOW and FUTURE.
The words of the LORD on the Law in general:-
"Do not think that I am come to destroy the law [or Pentateuch; Torah - of which the first five books of the Bible attributed to Moses including the Law and Sabbatical Covenant between the Jews and God - see Exodus 31:16], or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." [Matthew 5:17]
What do the three scriptures above, written by the Jewish apostles Paul and James say re: the Sabbath???
- It is but a shadow of the Millennium and eternity thereafter
- It is unto the LORD [not man]
- It is a matter of personal choice and conscience
- We are not to judge or condemn other believers over it or when /if we keep it
- If the LORD is first in our lives, we should first prioritize a day of rest to Him
- Since Christ fulfilled the Law; keeping the [or a] Sabbath does not make us any more righteous; but keeping one is a blessing to us in obedience to the LORD.
Much to think on here.
This I do know ... I need to sabbath [rest] in the LORD more!!!

Just got back from a family visit. During the visit I broached the subject of the media bias against Israel; the problem with Islam and also that things in the US [and the UK] are about to go pear-shaped.
I also mentioned the fact that there are concentration camps built or being built in the US and UK. Why do democracies in the lands of the free need to build these? Because something is going to happen in the near or medium term future. The USA is not mentioned in the end time prophetic writings of the Bible unless, as some have postulated, the word 'tarshish' is extended to Britain and by extension the US [and that is a stretch!] This means that the US will suffer a decline while the US, China, the kings of the east and the Beast [EU] rise against Israel.
Imagine my surprise as I read the latest Jerry Golden posting today. Within that is a link to an article on the very subject of US concentration camps and the plans of the NWO [particulary against Christians].
Here it is the address:- http://www.uaff.us/deathcamps.htm
As with all things; one needs to test all things and prove all things. On the other hand, one can't get by with their head in the sand while all falls down around them.
We need to be right with God; sounding the trumpet; being good watchman and trying to reach the lost who are so influenced by the media that they hardly think for themselves.
"Who will go for Us???" [Isaiah 6:8]
One of the issues within the church that has crossed my path over the years is the attitude and doctrines to and of the gifts of the Spirit. These are they that are written of in Romans 12:6-8; I Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4:11-12. They are much evidenced particularly in the birth of the True Church in the book of Acts.
The belief/doctrine that these gifts ceased either with the death of the original apostles or with the compilation of what we now know as the Bible is called CESSATIONISM.
During the Reformation some [but sadly not all - i.e. infant baptism etc.] of the false doctrines of Roman Catholicism were ditched. One of these was the selling of graces and other dubious practices that involved that RC 'church' receiving payment [check out when Simon the sorcerer tried to pay for the true gifts of the Spirit being displayed thru' Peter and John - read Acts 8:9-24 for God's attitude to this practice]. The reformers reacted to this by throwing the baby out with the bath water. They taught that the gifts had ceased to avoid the excesses that had preceded them [the intention was noble; to protect believers from being conned and by extension to protect them from deception].
The problem is that the gifts had not ceased. Let me explain it this way: if someone gave you a fake £20 note or $10 bill; would you rip up or burn all the other ones in your possession? Of course not. If there is something genuine; then satan will copy it to entrap, deceive and bind people from the Truth.
Now we move forward to Azuza Street in 1904 and beyond. Pentecostalism revived the teaching and use of these gifts with their natural partner - correct doctrine; but as the last days approached ever nearer, the tares grew up with the wheat and in some cases doctrine and the love of the Word was perceived secondary to experience. So now we can see in the last 40 years the hyper-pentecostalism, the 'name it and claim it' heresy, the 'kingdom now' heresy, the 'Toronto' delusion etc. and now [as Bob Mitchell and Jacov Prasch of Moriel have pointed out] this latest so-called revival out of Florida by one Todd Bentley.
So we have on the genuine use [sometime abused], the false and the denial of those gifts.
These gifts are called in the greek 'charismata' and from this word we get the word 'charisma' and the term 'charismatic' et al.
I have had to leave churches because the belief in the doctrine of cessationism has been put on a par with the core tenets of Christianity; in particular that of the gift of speaking in tongues. If they can prove that speaking in tongues is not for today; then so are most of the others.
I Corinthians 13:8-13 are the 'key' verses that I have seen used to defend cessationism. Have a look at I Corinthians 1:7 first and keep in mind that this 'book' is a letter from Paul to the Church @ Corinth:
"...So that you come behind [lack] in no gift ['charismata'] ; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ ..."
This verse links the giving, receipt and use of the 'charismata' in a finite time frame extending to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now read I Corinthians 13:10:
"...But when that which is perfect is come, than that which is in part shall be done away..."
The cessationist will claim that this is talking about the completed canon of scripture so the 'partial' is the gifts of the Spirit seen the the early church.
But what is "that which is perfect"? Other Bible versions translate it as "the perfect thing"; But what is the "perfect thing"?
Now read I Corinthains 13:11-12:
"...When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known..."
In context, when we consider all of the four scriptures noted above; Paul says:-
- Don't lack in the charisma gift[s] until the return of the Lord
- Now we are in dark, child, partial mode
- Then [in eternity] we will be in light, adult, full mode
- Only then will prophecies, tongues, and [words of] knowledge cease or be redundant.
Have you ever given a gift to someone and they refused it or returned it unthankfully??? Do you know how that feels??? Maybe it is same with the Father when He has these gifts to give His children and they say "No thanks, we've got all we need"
My point is don't follow the doctrines of men; follow the Word of the Lord [in context!!!]Pray for those with that belief.
I was one of them.
Here are some more points to consider:-
Is the Word of God ever called "that" or a "thing" in the Bible?
Can an event in itself be masculine or feminine? For instance, a groom looks forward to his wedding, a bride looks forward to her wedding or they both look forward to their wedding. The event "the wedding" has no gender, it depends upon whose perspective it is viewed from. Therefore "that which is perfect" does not need to have a masculine gender because it it talking about a state of perfection in comparison to a state of partiality or eternity [love] versus the temporal. Paul compares the partial with the perfect, the child with the man, seeing a reflection darkly with seeing face to face and knowing in part with knowing fully as he is known. Paul tells us in Philippians 3 that he is not perfect [v.12], that he is pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus [v.14] and that he is among those that are perfect or mature now [v.15].
If prophecies, tongues and words of knowledge have ceased, have not also the gifts of ministry [serving], teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling [leading], the word of wisdom, faith, healing, miracles and discerning of spirits ceased too? Since there is still an enemy roaring as a lion, sin and the effects of sin [sickness etc.], then surely "that which is perfect" has not arrived. In heaven [the perfect state] where there is no sin, there will be no need for healing or for tears or for faith or knowledge of God [He will make His home with us and we will see Him face to face - see Revelation 22:4], prophecy, multiple languages [will we all speak one language as before Babel?], discernment of spirits etc. Why would God withdraw these three gifts of prophecies, tongues and words of knowledge when knowledge was prophesied to increase [Daniel 12:4], prophesy itself was not to be despised [I Thessalonians 5:20] and tongues were not to be forbidden [ I Corinthians 14:39]?
It is true that every word of scripture is God-breathed and suitable for doctrine etc. Psalm 19:7 tells us that the law of the Lord is perfect, His testimony is sure, His statutes are right and His commandment is pure. Job 37:16 tells us His knowledge is perfect. Now, if God's Word was perfect when the Old Testament was 'incomplete' then it was perfect when the New Testament was incomplete too! Did Paul know that his letters to the Corinthians would become part of the New Testament?
It is interesting that in my KJV Bible, I Corinthians 1:7 and 1Corinthians 13:12 are cross referred to I Thessalonians 4:13-18 which deals with the rapture; not the completion of the canon of scripture.
By whom or what shall I be known even as I shall know? Does the Bible know me personally? Am I known by the Word of God written or the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ? Isn't He sitting on the right hand side of the Father in heaven? Can I be face to face with the Bible or with a person? I have a face, the Bible does not but Jesus does! He knows me fully because He has redeemed me and I am learning Him. Knowing face to face implies a salvation relationship.
Imagine a business man spending days or weeks at a time away from his family. He carries a photograph of his wife and children and it comforts him, cheers him and reminds him of all that is dear to him. When he gets home he has the real thing, a wife to touch and feel and children to enjoy. He will not need the photograph because he has the real thing.
This subject is close to my heart [as you can see]. Many thanks for reading.
Until next time.

Remember that I posted an old poem of mine the other day called "Forever Eternal"???
I have been thinking today about those 24 years.
What is sobering is the thought [and probably fact] that I have sinned more against the Lord in those last 24 years than I did in the previous 17 years.
The antidote to depression and the accusations of that old dragon [sometimes called the devil or satan] is the conviction that the Blessed Holy Spirit brings to the True Christian, the repentance that follows and the wonderful promise of forgiveness.
The real encouragement when you are low comes from the Word. I always remember this Scripture: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" [I John 1:9]
But still we do not heed.
There are no supermen or superwomen in the Bible [except for Adam and Eve before the fall!!!]; no-one got it all altogether except for the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Paul was under immeasurable grace yet he made mistakes.
When you are low and the way back up seems too steep; you feel there is no-one who can ever know where you are at; then read Romans 7: 14-25. Paul was at that place of despair that I dwell in sometimes. One minute he is acknowledging that he is "wretched" [v.24]; the next he is thanking God through the Lord Jesus Christ that only He can deliver him. It's not about what we do ... but what God can do through us, when we are obedient to Him.
Please pray for my good Christian friend Marian.

All this uncertainty reminds me of the prophetic word in Revelation chapter 6 where we read of the first four seals. In particular we read of the third seal in verses 5 & 6:-
"When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and wine."
This scripture is saying that it will be a struggle to pay for the bare essentials of living [food price inflation] in these days but the luxuries of oil and wine will still abound.
We have the situation explained in the article below that more and more land that used to be farmed for food is being turned over for growing crops for fuel. We have therefore, at the time of writing, a diminishing oil supply [demand growing; prices rising]; a diminishing food supply [demand growing; prices rising] and a 'credit crunch' [demand growing; prices rising].
Also interesting is that the cause of the spat with India mentioned in the article below is one [NWO and Skull & Bones] man; President George W Bush.
How close are we, as the EU grows into a dictatorial superstate; as the economy of the world falters and recesses; as the forces against the 'apple of God's eye" [Israel] mount [see Psalm 83]; as deception in the church grows in ever more waves of deception; as more and more unsaved people reject faith in the One Living True God [Father, Son - Lord Jesus Christ - and Holy Spirit - a Person; not a 'force'] for anyone or anything else [see Romans 1:22], to the appearance of the long prophesied antichrist and his beast empire [the bad news] and then the Glorious Return to earth of Messiah -the LORD Jesus Christ and His Kingdom [the good news!!!]
Food for thought indeed [please pardon the pun]. Time for God's people to get ready. When was the last time you or I witnessed to the free gift of salvation on offer from God or told someone that all these world events fulfill the Bible's prediction from 2,000 years ago???
Humbling isn't it??? "Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!"

High food prices support the oil price
Those of you who don’t read the US tabloids may have missed the recent political spat over food prices between the Indian government and George W Bush.
A few weeks ago, the US president made a speech in which he attributed rising food prices to the growth of India’s middle classes. This went down very, very badly in India and has resulted in some rather juvenile name calling.
Talking to the International Herald Tribune, Pradeep Mehta, head of an Indian economic think tank, said that the food problem has "clearly" been created by Americans, who are eating 50% more calories than the average person in India. If Americans were to slim down to even the middle-class weight in India, "many hungry people in sub-Saharan Africa would find food on their plates."
He also added, rather sharply, that the money spent in the US on liposuction to get rid of fat from excess consumption could be funnelled to feed famine victims.
Although Mehta’s comments are a little tart, it’s not actually surprising that the Indians got irked. Most right-thinking people understand that the rush to biofuels has been the most significant driver of food-price inflation. This is George Bush’s fault, as he has over-generously subsidised the US ethanol industry.
Subsidies skew a market and should always be a short-term tool. Ethanol subsidies have caused the food price to soar, as farmers switched crops to lucrative biofuels... and who could blame them. They are businessmen who will plant whatever makes them money.
But how will food inflation boost the oil price?
Again, it is all down to subsidy - but this time we are talking petrol subsidies.
It’s not only Middle Eastern countries that provide their people with subsidised petrol. This happens in India and China as well. Last year, India spent $19bn on fuel subsidies.
China has also recently entrenched its subsidy program - which some analysts reckon could cost the country as much as $87bn this year.
All of this means that the average Chinese or Indian person can buy petrol cheaper than the "market" rate. This keeps people happy and stimulates the economy. The governments can then cut back on these subsidies sometime in the future as the economy grows... or that’s the idea anyway.
It’s just that food-price rise have thrown a spanner in the works.
When petrol is heavily subsidised, consumption always rises.
If petrol is cheap, cars are used more and there is no motivation to drive a more fuel-efficient vehicle.
Both governments have been trying to cut these fuel subsidies. They are a tax burden that their economies do not need. However, the emergence of food-price inflation (caused by subsidies in the US biofuels industry) has left their hands tied.
Food-price inflation has taken over from energy as the world's biggest price threat. It would be politically untenable for these two countries to start cutting fuel subsidies as ordinary people are being ravaged by inflation in basic necessities. It would lead to unrest... by that I mean rioting.
India does not want civil unrest ahead of its election next year and the Chinese are trying to boost their PR ahead of the Olympic Games. A cut in fuel price subsidies would be very damaging politically. Quite simply, it is not going to happen.
Of course, the government could transfer the petrol subsidies directly to food. But this would cause an economically catastrophic rise in energy costs for individuals and businesses. It would also raise food demand and stoke inflation in grains and staples even more. There is quite simply nothing they can do.
So, subsidies elsewhere have a damaging inflationary effect - and the US’s attempt to reduce its reliance on oil has caused significant economic damage.
Here’s a summary of what I believe is going on regarding the food-oil link:-
- The oil price rose, so the US subsidised ethanol production to reduce reliance on imported oil.
- US farmers switched to more lucrative crops and burned food for fuel.
- With less crops available for food, staples prices rose.
- In order to reduce oil prices, demand needs to be dampened - or supply increased.
- Supplies of oil are finite and new finds are few and far between - making the supply side tight.
- Oil demand in India and China has been inflated because of internal petrol subsidies.
- The soaring cost of food means cutting petrol subsidies is politically untenable.
- Petrol remains cheap and demand increases, keeping the oil price high.

- A Short Poem by Keith James Sinclair; Inspired by the Lord; Friday 1st June 1984 -
The light shines on
From the Glorious One,
Who sent His Son to die for us,
For, while the day is burdened,
And clouds hide the sun,
The light shines on,
From the Glorious One.
The old life has gone,
Yes, the pointless, self-satisfied life has gone,
And I have crossed the fence,
Through the Lord,
Who was sent by the Glorious One.
The Lord Jesus is, Oh, so sweet,
He talks to me,
Comforts and aids me when all goes wrong,
But in the end always,
He lifts my heart,
Until I am glad to be a part,
Of Him, the Glorious One,
From Whom the Light shines on,
Hope you like it.

Have a look at this very interesting article on the expansion of all things EU [the 'Beast'] and consider the prophetic scriptures being fulfilled right before your very eyes:-
Summit approves 'Union for the Mediterranean'
EUR-ACTIV.com - March 14, 2008
EU leaders have given the green light to a compromise, struck by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, to create a 'Union for the Mediterranean', an initiative aimed at upgrading the EU's relations with its neighbours from North Africa and the Middle East.
The main focus of the new union will be on the following areas: Improving energy supply; fighting pollution in the Mediterranean; strengthening the surveillance of maritime traffic and "civil security cooperation"; setting up a Mediterranean Erasmus exchange programme for students, and; creating a scientific community between Europe and its southern neighbours.
Sarkozy had originally envisioned the new Union as an exclusive club, involving only the EU's Mediterranean countries and its neighbours but not the EU as a whole.
But this proposal attracted strong criticism, particularly from Germany, which feared the plan could split the EU down the middle, with the new union becoming a rival to the EU itself.
In the end, Sarkozy was forced to back down and agree to allow all 27 EU member states to participate in this initiative (EurActiv 05/03/08).
He also agreed to change the original title of "Mediterranean Union" to "Union of the Mediterranean" to counter fears that the new body would become a rival to the bloc.
Germany also prevailed by holding to its position that no new EU money beyond the funds allocated for the Barcelona Process should be given to the new union, countering Franco-Italian demands that the financing for the new body be multiplied.
Sarkozy announced his intention to seek additional funding from the private sector, hoping for up to 14 billion euro.
Another element of the compromise relates to the Union's management structure, which will consist of two directors coordinating cooperation between the EU and the partner countries. One director is to come from the EU member states and the other from a non-European Mediterranean country.
Both will be appointed for two years, supported by a 20-strong secretariat, to be located in a yet-to-be-determined southern EU city. Barcelona and Marseille have been mentioned as potential candidates, claimed Sarkozy, who denied having endorsed the French city.
The agreement also foresees bi-annual summit meetings between the EU and its partner countries. Seen as a partial victory for Paris, the southern EU nations will hold the first presidencies. - - - -

Here is a scripture to talk to your Jewish; gentile and even JW non-believing acquaintances about.
"Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, AND WHAT IS HIS SON'S NAME, if you can tell?"
Ask yourself some questions:-
- who has indeed ascended up to heaven??? [answers on a postcard]
- who has descended from heaven??? [think on Christopanies in the OT and read the last 4 chapters of Revelation]
- would not the Creator gather the wind in His fists??? [read Genesis 1 & John 1]
- would not the Creator bind the waters in a garment??? [ditto]
- would not the Creator establish all the ends of the earth??? [ditto]
- what is the Name of the Creator Sovereign Redeemer God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacov that the Jews spell YHWH and has a poor transliteration of Jehovah for us in the NT??? [Exodus 3:14]
- why ask what His Son's Name is if He has no Son??? [one in the eye for islam and that statement of abomination in the roof of the dome of the rock; read Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6]
- why this specific reference on in John 3:16 "...he gave His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON..." [not only does God have a Son; He has only one]
My point ... His Name is the Lord Jesus Christ ... Jesus - Yeshua - Joshua means "salvation". All the names in Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6 allude to His person, role, authority and mission. And that mission is salvation. You must be born again [John 3:3]. God loves you enough to not want you to get what you deserve [eternal doom in hell]; He wants you to be saved from that end [hence His grace and mercy through His Son]. The Son of God has always been around; He descended into humanity and ascended into heaven for you.
Dear Christian ... think on these marvellous things
Dear seeker ... act on these marvellous things. One more scripture if you please: "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" [Acts 4:12]

Replete with the shaking typically seen in the hyper-pentecostal movement and [so called] 'Toronto blessing" [more like a curse]; I did make one or two observations.
Everything was prayed over "in Jesus' Name" assuming that the authority was more in the prayers themselves and not in the Most Powerful Name of the Lord Jesus Christ [His Proper Title].
These children looked and acted like clones of their favorite bible teacher or pastor or Christian TV megastar than the children that they were. They were sincere but something was just not right. An unbeliever would not be convicted by this performance art. Children were told that they would influence this generation and do this or that. As if any of us can do anything apart from the LORD. We are only the vessels; He is the Master Potter. We are the body; He is the Head. It is through us He works His good will; not through our [well intentioned] efforts.
There was a gentlemen teaching on abortion at this camp. Now understand this. Abortion is abomination for sure in the sight of God. Remember just who jumped in their mothers womb for joy. But these are kids. Teach them good doctrine at these camps and good conduct will follow; not right wing, lopsided Christian ethos. They even went over to DC for a protest. What a wasted opportunity to teach the beauty of creation; man made in God's image; knit together in the womb. Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings ...
Perhaps the most distressing thing was the presentation of a cardboard cut-out of George W Bush which was, amongst other things, prayed at; prayed over and, for want of a better word, idolized.
Idolatry is not good. His Kingdom is not of this world; His Kingdom is IN us; we host the Holy Ghost!!!
I heard one of the interviewees proudly boast how the right-wing were the most powerful; influential lobby in America and she proudly listed what they [perceived that they] had achieved. State religion does not work. The early Church was persecuted; scattered; had no earthly governmental influence. They shared all things common [their lives; not just their physical possessions]. This is the model for the Church. You've heard it said "Politics and religion don't mix" - this is correct. Look what happened to the Church when Constantine supposedly became a believer and made Christianity legal. We ended up with the monstrosity called the Roman Catholic Church. My point - these kids were indoctrinated in pseudo-Christian politics ... not good Bible study and exhortation.
Jesus Camp was actually something like a kind of Republican; right-wing pseudo-Christian; moral crusade Camp. It should have been giving out milk and not meat. These kids needed grounding in the Word; not an emotional response driven; reactionary version of Christianity but the real deal. In the last days there is going to be a famine of the Word and for the hearing of the Word. How did this camp equip these dear young Christian kids for that???
By the way; I heard not one gospel message during the whole piece.
What to do?? Test all things; prove all things; preach the Word; get the true gospel out [while it is not illegal ] in season and out.

Take a look at my friend Bob Mitchell's blog [see link]; please pray for Dave Hunt who has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer; please pray for the peace of Jerusalem [Psalm 122:6]; for our government; for your and mine enemies; for the salvation of Jew and Gentile alike.
I will leave you with a quote: "When good people do nothing; evil abounds".
The major focus of this site is to monitor, report, advise and comment on the trends in Christianity; particulary those negative trends including [amongst others]:-
- The 'Toronto' Blessing [not]
- Hyper-faith Pentecostalism [name it and claim it]
- Purpose Driven Life [socio-gospel]
- Alpha [false discipleship]
- Emerging Church [the return to Rome - unfortunately]
- Ecumenism [one faith fits all???]
- New Age Infiltration [Yoga et al]
- False Prophets [by the standards of the Word; not people pleasers]
- Replacement Theology [a curse fron the devil - read Genesis12:3]
- Cessationism [need I say more???]
- Evolution [more faith is needed to believe this than in the Lord!!!]
- KJV only [the Amplified Version is great]
- Refusal to accept the possibility that the pre-tribulation rapture theory is wrong
