EU WATCH: SARKOZY SOUNDBITES

Hello again folks! There sure has been some excellent articles on the UKIP web-site lately. Here is another interesting piece that I've read on the UKIP web-site; also dated Thursday 11-Sep-2008:-
"What we need," said President Sarkozy, "is a fixed, two-and-a-half-year presidency and a permanent, fully-fledged foreign minister..." UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP reports from Paris.
President Sarkozy explained in detail how he sprang into action within days of the Russian retaliation in South Ossetia and prevented escalation to a larger war. He seemed genuinely to believe that he had achieved this single-handed.
One could not help thinking that perhaps he did, although I was puzzled by his claim that he had acted on behalf of the EU because there had been no EU-summit before he went... "
Surely, Mr Sarkozy," I said, "in those negotiations with the Russians, you acted as the President of France, did you not, rather than that of the EU Council?"
According to the interpreter, he said: "This is why Lisbon is so essential: if the conflict had broken out, still without the Lisbon Treaty, but under the following Czech EU presidency not much could have been done..."
What we need," he urged, "is a fixed, two-and-a-half-year presidency and a permanent, fully-fledged foreign minister..."So there you have it: an EU-state, with a "Sarkozy" at the helm, is his answer to everything."
So there you have it. The six-month presidency is not long enough for this fellow. True Christians need not be surprised at the ambition of Monsieur Sarkozy; the French President; maybe the secular world will be - but not Bible-conversant believers. A lot of people have put this gentlemen on their "anti-christ watchlist" - and not without good reason. The EU Beast is a Roman Catholic/Franco-German vehicle after all. And the Bible has plenty to say about political Babylon and religious Babylon.
I wonder when the man of perdition will come to the fore and kick out the three pretenders? Keep watching; testing; proving; praying; fellowshipping; exhorting and discerning with all due diligence!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... KJS ... 23-Sep-2008
