Hello again folks! Sometimes you put on an old tape when you are doing some DIY [like I do]. Tonight I've been playing a couple of old tapes while doing some work on our house [Yes, I've been listening to ELO again!]. But one of the songs I was also listening to was "How Can We See That Far" sung by Amy Grant [written by Amy Grant/Tom Hemby; 1991]. These are some of the lyrics:-
"And the same sun that melts the wax can harden clay,
And the same rain that drowns the rat will grow the hay,
And the mighty wind that knocks us down,
If we lean into it,
Will drive our fears away."
While I was working away, those lyrics really hit home. The Bible says that the rain falls on the wicked and the good. For now. Because of His grace. So the next time that you see a weather forecast or report, and yes, bad things do happen to good people [and vice versa] - think on these words and thank God for all his blessings. Also, thank God when He allows you to go down the road of Job. Because He is sovereign and He is in control. Period. Praise the Lord!!!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... KJS ... 04-Oct-2008
