Hello again folks! A while back I put out a blog entitled "Dark Matter". This subject has prompted me to ponder the subject of the Nephilim; as mentioned in Genesis ['the book of beginnings']; specifically chapter 6; verses 1-5:
"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
I was born in 1967 and back then shows like 'Star Trek'; 'The Time Tunnel'; 'Lost in Space' and 'The Invaders' were running and they had a sizable if not cult following. But relative to other media and subject matter; science fiction was not of mass public appeal ... but it was appealing to the imagination of those souls watching the 'space race' unfold though.
As the seventies unfolded; 'sci-fi' expanded in its genre. As the public education systems preached the mantra of evolution as truth; the increasing themes of "we are not alone" came out of the Hollywood studios as well as our TV screens. We also saw the explosion of the 'horror' flick. The late '70's saw the release of 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'; 'Star Wars' et al. The early eighties saw 'ET: The Extra-Terrestial' released and so it continued. The nineties saw the popularity of what I term 'demonic' sci-fi ... the 'Buffy' genre et al. We all read the hype for and watched 'Independence Day'; the repackaging of 'Star Wars' and exponential increase in all kinds of this type of film and TV series'. The noughties saw, with the advent of satellite and digital TV the growth of programmes exploring 'the other side' [such as 'Most Haunted'] and all kinds of new-age material including tarot card reading and psychic channels.
So from the small beginnings of 'Metropolis' in the 1920's and 'Flash Gordon' in the 1930's the phenomenon we call science fiction, in all its genres, now permeates not only the entertainment themes of the days but even the environmental; political and financial fields. This is just a brief overview. I enjoy watching the storylines of 'Doctor Who' as much as the next man!
I remember being taught at junior school in the 1970's about dinosaurs; the so-called 'Jurassic' period and all the so-called facts about our so-called development from amoeba to modern man or 'from goo to you'. I also remember the school assemblies and being taught the creation account and being familiar with it. I now 'unteach' my kids at home what they are indoctrinated with at school re: evolution. In other words; I explain to them that the Bible is also a science journal. Particularly on the history of this present world and universe.
But the last two [2] generations have been brainwashed with the theory of origins to the nth degree in the school systems. At the same time; firstly with computer games; then with VHS and now with DVD et al; and with the increase of technology and film making prowess - the whole of the last two [2] generations have been prepared for something. What started slowly via radio and TV is now there in your front room and on the internet - at the touch of a button. It is my personal belief that this generation is being prepared for a replay of Genesis 6:1-5 in the last days except we are going to see a grand deception [or a delusion that God allows]. This time it may be UFO's or 'friendly visitors' or something similar. But it will be enough to deceive many. For if one accepts the existence of 'aliens' then much of the account of the word can be treated as legend or myth. And if one believes in the precepts of evolutionary theory; 'discovering' aliens supposedly much more 'advanced' than we is believable. And if this is so; the question will arise: "Why do those christians keep on insisting that we are all sinners in dire need of salvation? - they're fundamentalist and they're dangerous."
My point is that with all the technology at hand; with this present generation trained to believe all that they see or hear or are told; with the indoctrination of new-age beliefs; the acceptance of necromancy; old-age earth evolutionary theory as fact and the rest ... never before has the stage been set for Generation Alienization. So expect more film; TV; more promotion of these themes; the reversing of our Judeo-Christian 'ethics' and the crumbling of the church apparent ... with only a remnant prepared to stand for the Truth and become outcasts for the Name of the Lord. Those 'Nephilim' are fast approaching. Are you ready?
God bless you and God bless Israel ... KJS ... 26-Jan-2009
