Hello again folks! The rise in the power of; the protectionism of; the expansionism of ; the submission to; and the 'politically correct' deference to islam continues unabated both in the UK; Europe and beyond. Today's blog is in three [3] parts and highlights differing attitudes to the rise of islam in the West.
[1] In the Netherlands; Dutch MP and right-wing politician Geert Wilders is to be put on trial for making anti-islamic statements; for"hate crimes" - that buzzword that is being used all the more to suppress the right to democratically protest or question 'religion' or, let us say, the politically 'sensitive' issues as defined by the PC crowd. [Please refer to this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/em/fr/-/1/hi/world/europe/7842344.stm]. Geert Wilders is no christian and no saint either. In 2008, he released a short film entitled 'Fitna'; a 17 minute long movie that showed a selection of quotations from Suras [chapters] in the Qur'an, interspersed with media clips and newspaper clippings showing or describing acts of violence and/or hatred by muslims. If you want to see the film; please go to: http://www.jihadwatch.org/2008/03/here-is-fitna.html; but be warned - it is a harrowing film that needs to be viewed with caution and objectively. 'Fitna' (فتنة) is an arabic word, generally regarded as very difficult to translate but at the same time considered to refer to civil war within islam. There are five quotations specifically referred to in the film: Sura 8:60; Sura 4:56; Sura 47:4: Sura 4:89; Sura 8:39 - please investigate these for yourself. In this case; any critique of islam and those who follow it to the letter is being snuffed out.
[2] In the UK; it has been reported that a head teacher in Sheffield has resigned after [muslim] parents complained to authorities about her plans to scrap separate school assemblies for muslim children. One parent, speaking anonymously, said: "As a black person I can say there is no racism in this school." Another parent was quoted as saying: "Bringing everyone together is a good thing. I can't understand why people are getting upset ..." [please refer to this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/7880690.stm]. In this case, a local authority has submitted willingly to islamic pressure.
[3] In Australia; this statement was made by a senior politician [there is some question as to just who said it ... John Howard; Kevin Rudd; both or A. N. Other]: Muslims who want to live under islamic sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks ... separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: "Immigrants, not Australians, must adapt. Take it Or leave it. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom ... we speak mainly English, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. This is our country, our land, and our lifestyle, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our Christian beliefs, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom ... the right to leave. If you aren't happy here then leave. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country you accepted." This statement [or versions of it] have drawn both huge national support and international condemnation. I do not endorse it per se but, as ever, we can rely on the Aussies to be straight to the point! Some have compared the statement[s] to naziism and highlighted Australia's penal beginnings as a counterfoil. In this case islam has been challenged by national government and comforted by international opinion.
We can see in the three cases above, that by varying degrees, islam is indeed rising in the West. In some places it is appeased; in others it is submitted to and in others it is opposed. But islam is rising - sometimes by stealth and sometimes by conquest. For example; in 2040 [if we ever get there]; the population of Germany is forecast to be majority muslim. Please check out those koranic verses.
But remember this verse from the New Testament too: "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." [I John 2:23]. Contrast that verse this with this koranic text: "The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was no more than God's apostle ... God is but one God. GOD FORBID THAT HE SHOULD HAVE A SON!" [4:171]. The God of the Judeo-Christian Holy Bible is not the god of islam. We should pray for the True Salvation of muslims as well as Jews and other Gentiles. It is the will of God that no-one should perish! [II Peter 3:9]. At the same time; forewarned is forearmed. Watchmen need to warn. Evangelists need to compel!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... KJS ... 10-Feb-2009
