Hello again folks! From time to time, good friends of mine send me photographs of pavement art. And I love those that deal with perspective. The above artistry is by one Julian Beever. He is a fantastic artist and some of his productions are awe inspiring. When I look at this particular picture; I think of the perspective and the wonder of the child and the God-given talent of the artist. But above all that; I think on the old adage "all that glitters ain't gold" and "looks can be deceptive".
Until you take in the whole scene; you could be taken in by the central focus of the photograph. Only when you take in the periphery and see the perspective can you see the illusion - good that it is. Current events in light of Bible prophecy are like this. Most [undiscerning and well-meaning] folks; whether believers or not; have their focus occupied by what is put in front of their eyes and ears - whatever it may be - predominantly 'news'. But, as with this picture; UNTIL they recognize the bigger picture and are willing to check things out for themselves; they are wide open to being deceived.
Most people are deceived anyway because they don't think that they can be deceived! And the best deceivers are deceived themselves - for example - Benny Hinn; Kenneth Copeland and even the greatest deceiver of them all [guess who - answers on a postcard!]. Sometimes we need a practical; physical example to illustrate a spiritual truth! I hope today's message does that. Please continue to be Bereans; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... Keith JS ... 13-Aug-2009
