Hello again folks! Going back to that lovely picture of the sunset at the North Pole that I posted twice earlier this week; I was musing on another theme relative to the crescent of the moon.
The Book of Genesis tells us that: "... God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day [the Sun], and the lesser light [the Moon] to rule the night ..." [Genesis 1:16]. The Moon has no light of its own but reflects the light of the Sun. As it is in the natural; so it is in the spiritual. "God is light" [I John 1:5] and the devil is the "prince of darkness" [but not Ozzy Osbourne!]. Satan is Lucifer fallen and has no light of his own save that he can deceive folks into believing that he is "an angel of light" [2 Corinthians 11:13-14]. The Moon crescent is often the 'symbol' of islam depicting the worship of a god who, at best, is only a shadow of the One Triune God. It's also interesting that in Malachi; the Messiah is termed as: "... the Sun of Righteousness ... with healing in His wings".
How tragic that the natural is a refection of the spiritual. All those followers of islam who are following the illusion of allah - the [created] moon god - instead of the Creator Himself. Muslims need True salvation too folks! Be Bereans; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; BE NOT DECEIVED; watch the periphery!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... Keith JS ... 24-Sep-2009
