Hello again folks! Here we are again ... whistling thru' September and marching into October at pace. Over the last year or so since I returned from my trip to Israel last May; I have used two [2] photographs as desktop backgrounds at work ... and both of them have engendered the odd query that has lead to a spot of witnessing ... as you do. The top picture is of the coast of Israel to the west of Tel Aviv as I headed home on a BA 'plane. The bottom picture is of the eastern gate in Jerusalem as viewed from across the Kidron Valley from near the [claimed location of] the Garden of Gethsemane.
Both pictures hold a special place in my heart. One shows the covering of clouds ending in near synchronicity with the land ... just as if the LORD were displaying His covering over the land He gave to Abraham and his descendants. The other shows a kind of garland over the place where the LORD will return and re-enter God's capital; Jerusalem; one day soon but yet future. Sometimes it is good to re-visit old trodden paths and be re-grateful for God's mercies - on all and many levels. These two [2] scriptures from either Testament stand out for me:
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
[Proverbs 3:5-6]
"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ ..."
[Ephesians 5:20]
Be Bereans; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel. DO NOT BE DECEIVED!
God bless you and God bless Israel ... Keith JS ... 15-Sep-2009
