Hello again folks! Whilst he has actually published the gospel and said some very true words but also some unwise words too; I think that it is a mistake that Stephen Baldwin has taken part in 'Celebrity Big Brother' as - if nothing else - the token Christian' &/or 'religious person'. Even if he reckons that he has 50,000 people praying for him!
From what I have heard [but not seen] - he has walked right into some questionable scenarios and - let us say - 'debates'. He has said some truths about heaven; hell; salvation and moral living et al. But; to his 'housemates' and the viewing public he has shown quite clearly what can be perceived as the 'quirkiness' or 'nuttiness' of the genre 'born-again Christian'. He is nowhere near as bad an anti-witness to the faith as characters such as Benny Hinn; Kenneth Copeland; Todd Bentley and the like - but some of the 'set-ups' he has walked into has shown his naivety.
Of course we all have our own favour or personality and his attitude to topics like smoking and drinking was not unreasonable ["... everything in moderation ..."]. But outright swearing and cursing is a bad witness in anyones book. The concern I have is that it shows to the world a kind of worldliness mixed with Christian truth[s].
It also clearly shows to the world at large that 'Christians' are indeed capable of being deceived. If only those believers who go through this life with the mantra that they cannot be deceived would take the blinkers off! 'Big Brother' is not my cup of tea. Not with the real 'Big Brother' getting all the more intrusive and closer every day. I hope Stephen Baldwin gets 'voted off' awful soon! Real Bereans [Acts 17:11] are truly needed and in short supply; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; DO NOT BE DECEIVED! and watch that periphery!
