Hello again folks! It just takes a matter of time. Eventually all false religious systems are shown by their fruit. The Church of England [CoE] today is setting itself up to accept and ordain women bishops. I have absolutely nothing against women by the way - I love 'em! They have far the better giftings anyway; in my opinion:

At least the roman catholic cult er ... church are consistent on their line with this [a rare plus point]. The modern New Testament church or 'ekklesia' does not need career clergy ['nicolaitians'] anyway. It does not require priests or vicars [male or female]. We are all priests anyway if one is truly born-again. We do need these offices in the NT church as amply described here in Ephesians 4:11: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers ..."

But when it comes to the CoE; you can rely on it to show its true colours ... eventually. If you already have an honoury druid a.k.a. the Archdruid ... er ... Archbishop of Canterbury as your leader then it should come as no surprise that his organization is going full tilt for a female clergy - an ensemble of female high priestesses in the tradition of true paganism. Be that vicars or bishopry et al. If the root is bad then so is the fruit. If the head is compromised fatally; then so it is with his 'body'.

I hate to say say it - but it looks like the CoE and all the other bastions of man-made duty and false religion are 'evolving' towards a worldly-loving [not a good thing if you know your Bible]; all-accepting; supposedly 'tolerant' one world faith. And guess who will be the outcasts. Lovers of Truth who are currently labelled as 'Christian fundamentalists'. Better watch out and watch that periphery. Real Bereans [Acts 17:11] are truly needed and in short supply; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; DO NOT BE DECEIVED!

am i correct in thinking that the practises of the nicolations in Revelation (which were abhorrent to God)were the practises of having a 'middle man' between believers and God? it has been a while since researching such cults etc but if memory servers and i am correct than perhaps the whole system of organised religion should take the opportunity to re evaluate their current practises regardless of whether there be male or female titled officials within its ranks. and please tell me why any Christian believer seeks to be titled? did humility die this century? my only desire is when i stand before Jesus He acknowledges i am His! perhaps we should be more concerned with being the good and faithful servant rather than what title this world admonishes upon there's a pause for thought!

Hello "skarrak",

We are all priests under One High Priest; the LORD Jesus Christ. We do not need clergy or 'nicolaitians' - you are indeed correct. We need pastors et al not because of the title but because the NT church needs godly shepherds accountable to God for the flock under their care. I would be suspicious of anyone who seeks a title: "The first shall be last and the last shall be first". If God selects a soul as a leader [or follower!]; then they should slot in the Body where they have been placed. I'm sure that there are truly born-again believers who are also clergy. It's down to them wanting to be Bereans and being wary of man-made tiers of religious authority when God aninted a church of people accountable to each other and the True Gospel. I hope that this answers your question. Thank you for commenting!
