Hello again folks! Anyone who truly knows me knows that I'm not one for the religious these days. Most years; 'Easter' is not even in the same month or week as Passover anyway. As with Christmas; both of these major 'Christian' events are based on pagan practices anyway. We can thank Constantine and the RCC for that! My personal belief is that Jesus was really born about the Feast of Tabernacles and [of course] He died as our Passover Lamb at ... the Passover!

However; to paraphrase the Apostle Paul: if you want to keep Sabbath on a Saturday or a Sunday ... do it as unto the LORD. If you choose to keep Easter as it is ... do it as unto the LORD.

The only thing I will say is that if you apply the true Jewish roots of Christianity and you see Messiah in ALL the ordinances - you would indeed be doubly blessed.

There are an awful lot of folks out there who delight in or delight in trying to put folks back under the Law - the letter if you will. On the other hand; being under Grace is not a licence to error. I propose that you find your shalom peace with God on how you remember and celebrate His birth; death and - most importantly - His Resurrection.

At the end of the day; that is THE REAL DEAL; what it is really all about anyway. Not ceremonies for the sake of ceremonies; not religious duty; not trying to climb up to God with good deeds or 'inner peace' or 'self discovery'. But to acknowledge that He came down to us because we can't do one jot or tittle to earn salvation or even curry favour with Him. That's the first step to eternal life. Next blog; I'll tell you another one of my short 'stories' to demonstrate this ... even though I'm 6' 4" tall! Real Bereans [Acts 17:11] are truly needed; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; DO NOT BE DECEIVED and watch that periphery!

God bless you and God bless Israel ... Keith JS ... 06-April-2010
