A SAD DAY INDEED
Hello again folks! If there's one thing that is worth saying today it is this: You just never know just what is around the corner. This morning; a man arose; got ready and set off with his wife for Warsaw airport with the intention of flying to Smolensk airport to commemorate and remember the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre of thousands of Poles by Soviet forces during WWII. It was already a solemn day and now it is even more tragic for the good people of Poland. A far proportion of their government has gone and already new elections have been called for. It is indeed THE saddest day for Poland since World War II:
But; for me; it is a tragedy that occurs every minute of every day of every week of every month of every year. Folks die and pass into eternity. This morning the Polish President was doubtless writing or rehearsing his speech or revising the steps of the political protocol that he must follow. He was probably not thinking for one minute that it was the last day of his life. Only God knows His own. I know not the condition of Lech Kaczynski's soul nor that of his wife Maria or the other eighty people who lost their lives this morning.
But the one thing that these kind of events bring to mind is this: How close all of us are to the exit sign. The beauty of True Salvation is that it is a God-given gift that we cannot earn and that God is no respecter of persons. This tragedy should remind all believing folks that there is not a day that passes that the True Gospel should not be proclaimed. A double negative is a positive by the way!!! Real Bereans [Acts 17:11] are truly needed; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; DO NOT BE DECEIVED and watch that periphery!
