ALEPH & TAV

Hello again folks! Good 'ol John Elson came over earlier this evening and showed me this. In his Hebrew/Greek Interlinear bible; he discovered that this transliteration was missing for these words in Genesis 1:1 and Zechariah 12:10. In English they are: Aleph and Tav and in Hebrew they are:

אֵת

בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם, וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
[Genesis 1:1]

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born."
[Zechariah 12:10]

John noted that in Genesis 1:1 the Aleph and Tav was positionally in the area of the English word: "God" [the Creator] and in Zechariah 12:10 it was positionally in the area of the word: "Me" [with a capital 'M' identifying with the Messiah in context]. Of course; in the Greek; Aleph and Tav are better known as Alpha and Omega [in English: the First and the Last!]. And these are the words that in the Book of Revelation; the Lord describes Himself as! We can therefore identify the Creator God with the Messiah for His First and Second Advents. Wonderful isn't it?

I also note with interest that approximately; the Books of Genesis; Zechariah and Revelation are at the start; middle and end of the Holy Bible. Even more amazing eh? So we have the Lord's signature [at least on this level] signposted throughout His Word. I just find this absolutely enthralling and humbling. Praise the Lord!

Real Bereans [Acts 17:11] are truly needed; watchmen must warn; evangelists must compel; DO NOT BE DECEIVED and watch that periphery!

God bless you and God bless Israel ... Keith JS ... 14-July-2010
