John: The Beloved Apostle

#901: If True Christians were polled about which of the four gospels is their favourite, many would tell you that they prefer John's gospel. It oozes grace and truth and not only tells the reader of God's agape unconditional love but also conveys something of the tender heartedness of John.

John is the disciple whom the LORD Jesus Christ loved if nothing else for his devotedness to his Messiah. It is John who immediately states the deity of Jesus (chapter 1) and His position as the Creator, source of light and salvation. It is John who tells us about Jesus' first miracle (chapter 2). It is John who tells the reader of the immense depthless love of God towards sinners (chapter 3). It is John who found a way to be near His Saviour when even his fellow disciple Peter failed. It is John who Jesus entrusted with the care of His mother Mary. It is John who ran fastest (even than Peter) to the tomb to find that His Messiah had defeated the last enemy, death. It is John who was entrusted with delivering the Revelation of the LORD Jesus Christ when exiled in Patmos. It is John who died a natural death when his fellow disciples all fell victim to horrible deaths.

Undoubtedly, John is the example for how True Believers should conduct themselves in service to their Redeemer. The Gospel of John is the love letter of Father God to fallen man. Consider the man John next time you read his inspired words!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

At this pivotal time, it is essential that True Christians and others CHECK WHAT IS BEING REPORTED FOR THEMSELVES and follow the example of the Bereans. Are you?

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11)

Real Bereans (Acts 17:11) are truly needed, watchmen must WARN, evangelists must COMPEL, do not be DECEIVED and WATCH that PERIPHERY!

Without Faith

#900: One of the ways in which you can use the current CONvid-19 plandemic for your own benefit is to take the opportunity to 'exercise' by partaking in a reasonable length stroll or walk. I have been doing this semi-regularly (although not so much during the winter months) and I'm amazed what clarity of thought and prayer comes into mind when I'm out and about.

For instance, earlier this week two specific scriptures came into my mind whilst on a walk and they were Hebrews 11:1 and 11:6. For some reason I kept combining both verses together into this:

"Without faith - the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen - it is impossible to please God"

In light of the current events being played out (literally), the above Word will, I'm sure, be a blessing to the folks reading this brief article who need both reassurance and the need to refocus on the heavenly rather than the temporal at this time.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)
